Agreement to Terms and Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions constitute an agreement between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”) and Clive Durose Limited, trading as Staircase Parts (“Staircase Parts”, “we”, “us”, “our”), concerning your access and usage of the Staircase Parts website (“website”). You agree that by accessing the website, you have read, understood, and agreed to its Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, you should discontinue using the website immediately. We reserve the right to revise and amend these Terms and Conditions.
We are registered in England and have our registered office at Clive Durose Limited, Newstead Industrial Estate, Trentham Road, Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, ST4 8HX. Our Company Number is 02282326. Our VAT Number is 368211651.
Unlawful or Prohibited Use
You may not access or use the website for any unlawful or otherwise prohibited purposes. You may not attempt to obtain any information that is not already and intentionally made available on the website. The website may not be used in connection with any commercial endeavours except those specifically endorsed or approved by us.
Information, Descriptions and Images
All information, descriptions and images on the website are intended as guidance only. While we always endeavour to display images of products that accurately represent them, we cannot guarantee accuracy due to reasons beyond our control, including but not limited to image light levels and display settings. We reserve the right to change any information, description or image without prior notice.
All information, descriptions and images on the website are the property of Staircase Parts or their respective owners and are protected by copyright laws of the United Kingdom.
You may place an order on the website by adding any available items to the shopping cart and checking out by providing contact, delivery and payment details. All product prices are shown exclusive of the current rate of VAT. Orders are processed between 8.30 am to 1.00 pm, Monday to Friday. Orders received outside these times will be processed on the next working day, excluding statutory and public holidays. Order confirmation indicates that we have received your order. It does not indicate the existence of a contract between parties. We will indicate acceptance of your order and the existence of a contract between parties upon delivery of your order and/or provision of an invoice. These Terms and Conditions apply to all of the contract to the exclusion of all other Terms and Conditions, including any Terms and Conditions that the buyer may purport to apply under any purchase order or similar document. All orders for products are deemed to be an offer by the buyer to purchase products pursuant to these Terms and Conditions. Acceptance of delivery is deemed conclusive evidence of the buyer’s acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and the products.
While we always endeavour only to allow orders for products of which we have a required level of stock available, we reserve the right to cancel the order if we have insufficient stock to deliver the products you have ordered. In such cases, we will inform you as soon as possible and process a refund as soon as possible.
Payments can be made via debit and credit card. All payments are processed by a trusted provider, Global Payments. The products will not be delivered until payment for the order has been made in full.
The product prices are reviewed periodically. We reserve the right to change the prices without prior notice. Promotional product prices are occasionally in place. Products ordered prior to promotions will not be repriced if they have been picked, packed and dispatched. The delivery price is for delivery to the exact postcode entered during checkout. The quoted price is only valid for delivery to that postcode. If you require the delivery address to be changed after placing an order, an additional charge may be levied.
Currently, delivery is available for the majority of Mainland England & Wales, Industrial Scotland, Scottish Grampian, Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Wight. Due to the nature of our products, the delivery cost is calculated based on the weight and destination of the order. Upon entering delivery details during checkout, the delivery cost is calculated and shown when selecting the delivery method. The delivery time varies between stock and made-to-order products. The detailed stock status of each product is specified in the product description. Each order is individually processed, picked and prepared for dispatch, which may take between 24 and 48 hours, depending on the size and composition of the order. Upon completing an order, a confirmation email will be sent with an expected delivery date. If any part of your order is not in stock, you will be advised of the expected back-in-stock date.
The delivery time for stock products is between 3-5 working days. All deliveries are made by our primary courier, DX. Deliveries are made between 8 am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday. Due to deliveries being made by a third-party courier, we can’t specify the time of the delivery or request the courier to communicate with you prior to the delivery. An additional courier charge may be levied if the delivery is attempted but not received. If consecutive delivery attempts fail, the products will be returned to our warehouse. We reserve the right to levy an additional delivery charge to redeliver the products.
All deliveries must be signed for. Products cannot be left unattended without a signature. If you are not going to be available to receive the delivery on a particular day, please contact us so we may rearrange it.
Upon delivery, customers are advised to ensure that the stated number of parcels are present and in good condition before signing to accept the delivery. If the packaging shows signs of damage, customers are advised to note this on their and their courier’s copy of the delivery note as “Packaging Badly Damaged, Goods Not Checked for Quality”. If any of the products are found damaged, it will allow us to seek adequate compensation for the costs of the products from the courier. Additionally, customers are advised to note the date and time on the delivery ticket or the courier’s paperwork. Customers unsure about the condition of any product are advised to sign for it as “Damaged” and notify us as soon as it is practicable, but no later than 48 hours, to report any damage. Any items not signed for as “Damaged” cannot be replaced. Signed for, missing products also cannot be replaced.
The Company shall not be liable in any way for any direct or indirect loss, damage or expenses (including but not limited to loss of profits and liability to third parties) suffered or incurred by the buyer as a consequence of any delay in dispatch or delivery. We shall have no liability to you for any delay in the delivery of products ordered or any other matters to the extent that the delay is due to any event outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, flood, fire, snow and ice, labour disputes, strikes, lock-outs, riots, civil commotion, malicious damage, explosion, governmental actions and any other similar events.
We are not liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage or expenses (including but not limited to loss of profits and liability to third parties) suffered or incurred by the buyer as a consequence of any delay in dispatch or delivery. We are not liable for any delay in the delivery of products ordered or any other matters to the extent that the delay is due to any event outside of our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, flood, fire, snow and ice, labour disputes, strikes, lock-outs, riots, civil commotion, malicious damage, explosion, governmental actions and any other similar events.
Returns and Replacements
In the unlikely event of a concern regarding the quality of the products purchased, customers are advised to email the details (and, where possible, attach a digital photograph of the issue). Alternatively, customers can initiate a return via their Staircase Parts account. Any product not meeting the usual standards of quality will be replaced free of charge as long as it is returned intact and in its original packaging.
We are committed to maintaining customers’ privacy. All personal information is collected, stored and processed in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations. No personal information is disclosed to third parties, excluding order details processed as part of the order fulfilment. No debit and credit card details are stored.
