Yes. The maximum gap between spindles, and in fact any part of the staircase must not exceed100mm. This applies anywhere where children under 5 years old will be, to ensure they cannot fit through the gap. Our installation service does not extend to products purchased from staircaseparts.co.uk. However, depending on your location we can recommend someone local to you. Whatever you decide, if its a replacement staircase, replacing spindles, new handrail, a staircase renovation or anything to do with your staircase, feel free to give us a call and we will do our utmost to assist.

We make Oak stairparts, Pine stairparts, American Black Walnut stairparts, Ash stairparts, Sapele stairparts - in fact we use all well known hardwoods and softwoods.  All kiln dried and sourced form responsibly managed forests. We are FSC and PEFC certified and can provide any products with these certifications upon request. Whatever timber staircase or timber balustrade you are looking for, contact us to discuss your specific needs. We are specialist wood machinists. Woodturning, CNC Machining and traditional woodworking enable us to make one off items to customer's specific requirements.   We can make complex handrails for grand staircases, turned or shaped balusters, unique newel posts, and many more timber parts using our extensive CNC wood machining services. Yes, we do offer a delivery service. Delivery costs are calculated and charged for during the checkout process. For deliveries outside of the UK mainland, please call us on 01782 646222 or email us at ask@clivedurose.co.uk for a delivery quotation.  Full details of our delivery service can be viewed in the delivery and returns section.

Our lead times will vary depending on the nature of your order. Most products are available within 7 - 10 working days. Some items are made to order and will take 21 working days. Our Sales team will let you know when you place your order. Alternatively, contact us with a list of your requirements and we will advise you of when these can be ready for you. In the unlikely event of a concern regarding the quality of the goods you have purchased from us, please email details and where possible attach a digital photograph.  Any product not meeting our normal standards of quality will be replaced free of charge as long as it is returned intact and in its original packaging.   

Your right to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive. 

Please note that bespoke items, that have been made or modified specifically to order/request cannot be returned. Goods indicated as made to order are strictly non returnable.

Goods must be returned to us in good condition and packaged in the original packaging.

A restocking charge of 30% of the value of the goods (gross) excluding carriage will apply and a carriage charge will be levied to collect and bring back, according to weight and size. Goods may not be returned after 30 days from receipt. Carriage paid when your order was original placed is not refundable. Goods will not be accepted back without having been arranged and an uplift reference received and marked on the parcel.
