Once upon a time.....
Clive Durose began his interest in woodwork after leaving school at 16. A hobby of woodturning became an obsession which saw him develop into a Master Craftsman. At 18 years old Clive started his business, Clive Durose Woodturners, providing woodturning services to Joinery and Furniture customers. Specializing in stair parts, he continued to expand his knowledge of woodworking. In those formative years, he trained apprentices in the skills he had acquired. Incorporated in 1988, and over the next few years, Clive won awards for business and innovation. Not content to rely solely upon traditional skills, he acquired and learned how to use high tech CNC machinery to reproduce intricate shapes time and time again. Underpinning the use of modern processes with time served knowledge helped maintained the quality and integrity of his products.
Engrained within our culture, is a genuine concern for where our wood comes from.
Making a contribution to the environment’s plight, the company has acquired and maintained FSC and PEFC certification. Responsible sourcing of materials are necessities of the woodworking trade, as is the careful utilization of wood and the recycling of wood waste. In 2023 a large investment was made in highly efficient energy saving equipment to reduce the power consumption and carbon footprint of our workshops, saving tons of carbon each year. With stairparts that can transform stairs, Clive and his team would like to share their craft and heritage with you. Whether you are looking for timber, metal or glass balustrade, the Staircaseparts website, showcases the popular products with which you can achieve your dream and transformation.
