The Modus Range - A Staircase Parts Spotlight:

Today we're going to look at another of our designer stairpart ranges - Modus.

Like the Ikon range that we covered previously, Modus was also created in 2005. Designed as a simpler style with an ‘arts and crafts’ feel, it aims to make the most of the timber’s natural features. Nature provides us with the materials and inspiration, Modus uses these in its simple shape – a design that is both natural and modern.

Making the most of the natural features of timber, the elegant plain style of Modus is a perfect choice for those who simply love wood. With just a hint of metal, Modus emphasises the natural beauty of the wood while still maintaining a modern design. This makes it an ideal choice for the the staircase in a modern family home.

The Modus newel posts incorporates a chrome finished detail plate as a feature of the joint between the post and the newel base itself. This allows allows a staircase to be fitted early on in the build project without risk of damage to decorative parts, which are fitted later. It also contributes to making staircase refurbishment much easier, allowing the existing newel post bases to be cut off, squared and capped with one of our detail plates to form a perfect joint.
