Modus bases are supplied with an accurate hole
to take the newel turning and a chrome finish
detail plate to make a feature of the joint.

The Modus 570 Drop Base has an extra hole drilled on the underside and is used in situations where the newel base protrudes below the ceiling (usually around the landing apron). A Modus Newel Post Cap (MODONC) is used underneath this base.

Modus bases are available in various lengths to suit
different stair configurations.
