Newstead Newel Post 416 is 117mm x 117mm in section. It is usually used for quarter landings.

The short section of turning on the Newstead 416 Turning does not allow sufficient space for a twist to be added. It is therefore used as it is alongside any of the other twisted Newstead newel posts.

To achieve the 117mm section these posts are laminated from selected timber.
